Travel Guide - Helsinki
Posted: 21st September 2009

In the third part of our guide to Helsinki, we take a quick look at a small café just off the beaten track in Helsinki.

Gran Delicato

 Suomenlinna Castle

This Italian-come-Greek café in Helsinki is ideal for a coffee and sandwich in the morning or afternoon. Situated only a 5-10 minute walk from the center of the city, it is certainly not out of reach and gets you away from those busy tourist areas. It is truely a hidden gem!

" The location is not ideal and from outside your expectations are not so high. Once you step inside, you almost feel like you are in another country. The place has a really nice and warm feel to it. The salads (especially chicken salad) are great and they also have nice selection sandwiches. This is my favorite café in Helsinki. " - TripAdvisor.com

Our top tips: Admire the decor, sample a Caffè Latte or Cappuccino, and indulge yourself in a Chevre & Chorizo Baguette or, if you're watching your calories, a superb Chicken Salad.
