Welcome to Amsterdam

On behalf of the board and as the President of EuroCHRIE, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to join the Passion for Hospitality Excellence. EuroCHRIE 2010 conference will be hosted by Stenden International Hospitality Management and Saxion Hospitality Business School. They are both known as forerunners among the Dutch universities of applied sciences. The organizing team has taken all efforts to ensure that EuroCHRIE federation will have another memorably conference in the great city of Amsterdam. I would like to give my sincere thanks to the conference organizing committee and everyone involved in planning and running the conference. Without this excellent profession in bringing EuroCHRIE family together, the members would not have the opportunity to share ideas, discuss the industry and education issues and create networks.

Night in Amsterdam

The conference program contains astonishing keynote speakers, which will cover the recent highlights of innovation, sustainability and branding in tourism and hospitality without forgetting the historical aspects of our industry. On the top of keynote speakers, there will be a variety of educational and industry-related activities - the most importantly for researchers to present their papers and posters. I am sure that all delegates will enjoy the academic program and participate by giving feedback and interacting with your colleagues. EuroCHRIE conference provides an excellent opportunity to meet new partners to future collaboration, not forgetting the social program. The Opening Ceremony, Receptions and Gala Dinner will enhance our enjoyment and provide remarkable experiences. Arie van der Spek , CEO and Director General Les Roches International Schools of Hotel Management will be present on Wednesday at the Gala Dinner to hand over the Laureate Award. EuroCHRIE is really proud and pleased of all our partners, who support us to achieve the goals of our association.

Night in Amsterdam

What can you see in Amsterdam? Definitely you are able to see bikes and bridges. There are almost as many bikes as inhabitants and over 1200 bridges in Amsterdam. The city is also known for its cultural activities, restaurants, canals, houseboats, markets, etc. EuroCHRIE is extremely proud to have our yearly conference in the city like Amsterdam. All conference hotels are centrally located giving you the possibility to experience the really multicultural city. But for the most are the people. Dutch are known as easygoing, reliable, friendly and hardworking. I am sure that everybody will enjoy their company.

I strongly believe that Amsterdam conference will bring all delegates the Passion for Hospitality Excellence and I am looking forward to meeting old and new members and sharing thoughts during the conference.
